James Irvine was born in London in 1958 and lived most of his life in Italy. For more than twenty years he was a landmark figure for a whole generation of international designers both on a human and a professional level right up to his premature death in 2013. He started his Italian adventure working for Sottsass Associati and went on to become a partner.
