Vipp 15 kitchen pedal bin is made with a layer of stainless steel and equipped with a damper mechanism for smooth closing of the lid as well as a rubber ring that guarantees air-tight closure. The body is manufactured in powder-coated steel and hides the removable, galvanised steel inner bin. A rubber ring at the base ensures that sensitive surfaces are safeguarded.
Vipp's ambition is a world with fewer but better products. The philosophy present in all Vipp products is taken straight out of the bin – evoking function over form and staying power over fading trends.
Holger Nielsen’s original pedal bin was not designed in the strict traditional sense but got its visual expression in response to a series of functional criteria: A large foot for stability, a domed steel lid on top which is easy to clean, ears on the side of the body so it is easy to move around and a rubber ring at the base for protection the floor. These functional dogmas remain the starting point for all Vipp products.
Vipp 15 Kitchen Pedal Bin comes with 1 roll of bin liners = 25 Bags

Holger Nielsen
Vipp is founded in 1939 by Holger Nielsen. Born in 1915 in the small Danish town of Randers, Holger trains as a metal spinner. Holger Nielsen makes the leap into business at the age of only 17 and almost by coincidence. It all begins one spring Sunday in May 1931 when he makes his usual visit to the local stadium to support his favorite football team. Fate has it that his ticket is drawn in a raffle, and he wins a car. Holger loves cars, but as he has no driver's license, he decides to sell the car and invest the money in a metal turning lathe. This marks the birth of Holger Nielsen's metal factory where, a few years later, he produces the very product that will go on to bring him fame: the Vipp pedal bin.
