A glass beer mug from the FAST (FOOD) COLLECTION of glasses, which consists of copies of the well-known original plastic shapes with reference to fast food aesthetics.
Maxim Velčovský has elevated the classic cup shapes to the noble material of glass. By producing in the Czech Republic, Qubus supports the idea of preserving quality local handmade production. The Fast Collection consists of four different shapes of glasses: the Fast Cup, Juice Cup, Beer Cup and a variant of the glass cup on a foot with the characteristic name Sommelier.

Maxim Velčovský

Maxim Velčovský completed his studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and in 2002 he became co-founder of the Qubus design studio. He participated in over ninety joint exhibitions and his works are, for instance, included in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, The New Pinakothek in Munich, the Museum of Art and Design in Prague, or the Design Museum in Lausanne. In 2007, he won the Czech Designer of the Year award. In 2011, while also heading the Ceramics and Porcelain Atelier of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, Velčovský became Art Director of Lasvit.

The Qubus brand was founded in 2002 by Jakub Berdych together with Maxim Velčovský, and in the same year they opened a design store of the same name, which was created with the idea of ​​presenting Czech contemporary and conceptual design in a witty and unconventional way. A number of now iconic design products, collections and works were created under the Qubus brand. Qubus products are characterized by their humour and the search for new meanings and contexts.
