After having worked at IDEO in the United States, Fukasawa became the director of IDEO’s Tokyo office until 2003 when he established his studio NAOTO FUKASAWA DESIGN. He won numerous awards for projects that are part of the permanent collection of some of the most important museums in the world. In 2007, he was accorded the title of Honorary Royal Designer for Industry (Royal Society of Arts, UK).
