Once the day is over, the bride and groom will have an original memory of their big day that they will love to have on display. The new cake toppers from Kay Bojesen are miniature versions of the Bride and Groom, inspired by original figurines from Kay Bojesen’s archives. Like Kay Bojesen's larger figures, these are made in FSC®-certified beech wood with meticullous hand-painted details. The lovely bride is wearing a floor-length, white gown with long sleeves and feminine silver details that include a tie around the waist and at the wrists, which are designed as a tribute to the ornaments Kay Bojesen created during his time as a silversmith. The hair is swept back in a simple hairstyle. Like Kay Bojesen’s original figurines, her cheeks are rosy and her smile is friendly and welcoming. The figurines measure 12 cm and are sold individually, so the pair can be combined however you wish. A discreet white magnetic plate to secure the figurines is available to purchase separately. As always with Kay Bojesen, the design is simple and elegant, and the figures’ classic appearance means they fit all types of cakes – be they minimalistic, colourful or full of decorations.

Kay Bojesen is one of the big Danish designers. He was able to turn wood into original stories like no other. He had a knack for bringing the wood to life. Or as he put it: “Making the line smile”. And the lines certainly smile in each of the Wooden Animals – which have all become iconic.
