When Per Lütken designed the Provence bowl in 1955, he created a Danish classic.
The bowl it is made of mouth-blown glass and is shaped manually. This bowl is a bit of everyday luxury and can be used as a fruit bowl or for salads.
A great gift idea that can be handed down through the generations. Each Provence bowl is unique and blown without the use of a mold. Here is the glassblower's ability to carefully control the glass bubble and let the steam from the floor blow the glass mass up to the finished product.
The bowls therefore vary in shape and size. The manufacturing process of the Provence bowl is in itself a complete unique experience.

Per Lütken
Per Lütken is considered one of the two best best Danish glass designers ever, being Jacob Bang the other one, and probably no other has been so important to Danish glass in the 20th century. It was precisely after Jacob Bang left Holmegaard that Lütken was given the position of creative director at the big Danish glassworks, for which he’s said to have designed more than 3000 pieces. He worked there from 1942 and until his death in 1998. Maybe one of the most important things we can say about Per Lütken is the magnitude of his love for glass.
