The 2024 edition of the annual Georg Jensen Christmas Mobile features a radiant star designed by long-time collaborator Sanne Lund Traberg. The pendant hangs from a festive red ribbon and features a small zirconia ball at its centre for an extra touch of sparkle. Its delicate, 18kt gold-plated form is inspired by the shimmering quilt of stars that light up the night sky on a dark, wintry evening.
The design comes with a distinctive red ribbon featuring the design year, 2024, and a blue ribbon that symbolizes the collection's theme: a starry winter's night.

Jette Frolich
In 1966, Jette Frölich began designing paper decorations. The Danish interior design magazine "Bo Bedre" saw her design and published an article about her in their Christmas issue, and thus the whole adventure started. She spent 3 years in Tehran with her husband and 4 children, where she was inspired by the ornamentation of minarets. It was during these years that the idea of starting her own business was born. In 1973, the family moved back to Denmark, where Jette Frölich bought a small handicraft company that made decorations from natural materials, including spruce cones. The famous Danish Design Centre "Den Permanente" presented her first Christmas collection that year, and at the same time Jette Frölich opened a Christmas studio in her own home. Gradually, her paper cuttings became more popular than her pinecone decorations. In 1976, Illums Bolighus asked her to decorate a 14-metre Christmas tree and be their Christmas artist that year. It turned out to be 29 years. From 1980, Jette Frölich made decorations for the entire Royal Scandinavia group, which included Georg Jensen, Holmegaard, The Royal and Illums Bolighus.
