When we speak of a “cameo” in a film or play, we mean the brief and discreet appearance of a famous character. In the same way, CAMEO, the new light by FontanaArte designed by Studio Claesson Koivisto Rune, is a lamp with character and personality, essential and fundamental in its function without being the star of the room. It is a lamp that can go unnoticed by the unobservant gaze of the person who observes the environment as a whole and does not dwell on the details.
Rechargeable table lamp, made of blown glass. Satin-finished blown glass paired with a satin gold painted metal frame. The decorative metal ring, positioned on the diffuser, is made of the same material and finish as the base and features the serigraphed FontanaArte logo. Integrated and dimmable LED light source. A transparent touch button allows for turning the lamp on and off and adjusting the light intensity. The lamp is powered by a rechargeable battery with an 8-hour lifespan, rechargeable via the included USB cable. Wall plug adapter not included in the package.

Claesson Koivisto Rune
Fruit baskets for Cappellini, a video set for Kylie Minogue, textiles for Almedahl, task lamps for Wästbergs, interiors for restaurant Operakällaren and Nobis Hotel in Stockholm, carpets for Asplund, jewellery for Gallery Pascale, not to mention the architecture of the Sfera building in Kyoto. ”Multidisciplinary” seems like a good word to describe Eero Koivisto, Ola Rune and Mårten Claesson, founders of the Stockholm-based office for architecture and design that bears their surnames. Founded in 1995 by the three former classmates from Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, the studio quickly gained international acclaim and was the first Swedish architects ever to be exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale. Today the Claesson Koivisto Rune office is located in Stockholm’s Södermalm district with a staff of about twelve.
