Design House Stockholm Turtleneck Scarf
Fashion fades, only style remains the same. Created in 1997 by Marianne Abelsson, the Pleece collection has changed very little over the years. Some models have been added. The colors change slightly as the seasons come and go. But it’s still based on the same timeless simplicity and quality that never goes out of style. The fabric is still pleated in Boras, Sweden. And it is still one of Design House Stockholm’s best selling products, sold in MoMA Store, New York, for 15 years.
Pleated fleece: 75% polyester, 25% viscose.
When worn and washed, pilling may occur.
Wash cold (40°C) with similar colours, dry flat. The textile retains its pleating after
W40 × D39 × H7 cm, 800 g (W15” × D15” × H2.7”, 1.76 lbs)
Marianne Abelsson
Textile designer Marianne Abelsson started working with Design House Stockholm in 1997. She is educated at the Textile School in Borås and has been working as a designer and running her own business for many years. Her designs include the Pleece collection, the ceramic clock Tid, the candlestick Table Light, the Cutting Board range, and the pleated felt Runner and Pillowcase. She has done significant design work for companies such as Almedahls and Borås Wäfveri.
