Danese Milano Office Box Desk Citera by Enzo Mari

Citera is a small box made using a combination of contrasting materials, polished stainless steel and sapele mahogany. The lid can either be opened on hinges or simply placed on top and the sides and bottom are joined together by visible screws.

Polished stainless steel, rosewood. From two bent metal sheets and two rosewood fillets: a pencil and object holder.

Enzo Mari, born in Novara in 1932, works in different directions, from graphics to design and architecture. In 2002 the Faculty of Architecture of the Milan Polytechnic awarded him an honorary degree in industrial design. His works are exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the Milan Triennale, the Schloss Charlottenburg in Berlin, the M.I.C. of Faenza, at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, at the MoMA in New York and at the Milan Triennale. For the calibre of his research, he was awarded many prizes including four Compasso d'Oro.
