Centerpiece made of 3D printed clay, inspired by the shapes of the underground floor of the Etruscan Museum Fondazione Luigi Rovati in Corso Venezia in Milan. The circularity and overlapping of the features characterizing the underground floor of the museum are re-proposed in the sinuous lines that characterize MCV.
Clay 3D printing is an innovative and experimental technology due to the difficulties involved in creating volumes with dense fluid materials: the shapes are in fact created layer upon layer through the LDM (Liquid Deposition Modeling) process. Once solidified and cooked, the clay is then subjected to finishing with an opaque black crystalline that gives it the final color and protects the material making it suitable for contact with food.
Material 3D printed clay
