Alessi Kettle 3909 Virgil Abloh Securities
Alessi's kettle 3909 celebrates American design and basketball culture while honouring the memory of the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh. Created in collaboration with Virgil Abloh Securities, the kettle 3909 is a reimagined version of the Alessi kettle 9093, which was designed by the American architect and designer Michael Graves back in 1985.
In kettle 3909, the original bird-shaped whistle has been replaced with a purple-coloured basketball player who notifies you when the water has reached boiling point. Also, the handle and knob are coloured in purple. The steel kettle may also be used on induction hobs, and its wide base makes the water heat up faster. This special edition is released as a numbered edition of 9.999 pieces.
All heat sources including induction - basketball player whistle cap
Material: Polished stainless steel, PA
Size: Ø 22 x H 22.5 cm - Capacity: 2 litres

Michael Graves
Michael Graves is the American designer behind the project of the 9093 kettle, a great success since 1985 that became an icon of 20th century design. The Author had the ability to bewitch the general public introducing elements of the popular decorative tradition, such as the bird whistling when the water has reached boiling point, leading to a smile.
