With eat.it, his first cutlery set for Alessi, Dutch architect Wiel Arets once again proves his ability to extract the essence of the shape from objects. linear, yet not minimal, the "eat.it” project originated from a symmetrical design, where the shape of the handle and the upper part are equivalent and opposite, like the mathematical symbol for infinity. the "eat.it " cutlery set is made of 18/10 stainless steel and includes a knife, table fork and tablespoon, fruit salad fork and knife, dessert spoon, coffee and mocha spoon, serving spoon and fork, cake server and dessert fork, plus a risotto serving spoon, butter knife, spaghetti serving fork and a unique spoon with a long handle for mixing lattes or ice tea, which are customarily served in tall glasses. this slim and sleek cutlery is easy to store and stack and even suggests a new and original way to set the table, with cutlery pieces that can be arranged vertically as well.
