"Composition" Retractable Pen, a design by Adrian Olabuenaga, comes from ACME Studios Brand X collection. The design resembles a "Composition" notebook and features a twist to open mechanism.

The pen comes equipped with one black ballpoint refill as well as an ACME Easy Flow 9000 refill (writes like a roller ball). Artist's signature is engraved on the cap band and "ACME" is on the clip. The pen is presented in a ACME metal box with a black sleeve.

ADRIAN OLABUENAGA was born in 1955 in Buenos Aires Argentina but grew up and was educated in Los Angeles , California. Raised with an architectural background,he has from a young age, been inspired by architecture, design and art. Primarily working in a medium of functional art, his first solo show was in 1983, featuring his famous art radios and furniture. In 1985, he founded ACME Studios with Lesley Bailey his wife. His jewelry designs were included in the "MEMPHIS Designers for ACME" collection, as suggested by Ettore Sottsass.

He dies in December 2007.
